RAR NATIONAL CONFERENCES

In early December 2002, Mudgee RAR hosted our first national get-together, described by Margaret Piper from the Refugee Council of Australia as "a very significant event". This "muster" brought together, for the first time, the many RAR supporters and advocates who had been working in isolation, and provided the RAR movement with a strong sense of its truly national focus and identity. Since then, RAR has grown into a influential and highly effective national "grassroots" network, a solidarity confirmed at it's 2004 gathering, hosted by Albury-Wodonga RAR.
