Adelaide: Refugee Rights’ Movement Strategy Day
February 21 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Refugee Rights’ Movement Strategy Day by Refugee Council of Australia
Join RCOA for their Annual Refugee Rights Movement Strategy Day.
This year RCOA will be preparing for the upcoming Federal Election with a focus on the joint ‘Platform for Change’ developed by our movement over the past two years. The day will be an opportunity to learn about campaign plans for the next 6-12 months and figure out how our communities, groups and organisations can get active in their contexts.
The day will look a the following key aspects:
- Review of Platform for Change – https://www.refugeecouncil.org.au/publications/reports/platform-change/
- Review of strategies developed by working groups
- Federal election strategy
- How orgs/groups can enact strategy in local areas.
Food and drinks will be provided. Please let us know your dietary requirements.
Tickets are priced accordinly to enable us to support people from refugee backgrounds to attend, to make sure that their insights are central to our activities. The revenue will be used to support travel and accommodation.
We have kept the fee very low as we do not want there to be a financial barrier to attending, but if you are unable to pay please let us know. If you or your organisation are able to provide further sponsorship for refugee community members to attend, please consider doing so through the Donation ticket option when navigating through the green tickets button.
If you are from a refugee background and require funding to travel from interstate, please contact us directly – firstname.lastname@example.org
