Would you like to understand how Australia enacts its legal responsibilities to refugees and asylum seekers?

If you’re interested in the process and feel that you’d like to be involved in helping people to apply for asylum to gain a protection visa, Jane Healy who’s a legal advocate, and works with the human rights lawyer, George Newhouse in Sydney, is sharing her knowledge on the subject on Saturday January 14th at 3pm at the Cherry St Sports Club, Ballina.

At the session you’ll learn about the process for applying for Australia’s protection and the granting of a visa. You’ll also learn what appeal mechanisms are in place if the application fails. The differences in people’s categories and the implications in their individual application processes will   be discussed as well. You’ll be provided with information on how you can assist those who need help.
