Bendigo: Fundraiser Concert
10 June 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Rise in Harmonies – Fundraiser Concert for Refugees
The ‘Rise in Harmonies’ fundraiser is being held in support of the Act for Peace Ration Challenge, were people around Australia are being sponsored to eat like a refugee during Refugee Week, June 17-24. All of the money raised through the challenge goes to provide food, medicine and education for Syrian families in refugee camps in Jordan, as well as support other disaster and conflict affected communities around the world.
Being very well-known in Bendigo for its live music, the Golden Vine Hotel will come alive on Sunday June 10th as bands and musicians donate their time and talent for Syrian refugees and disaster-struck communities. Artists set to play include Offspring of Convicts, Red Hound, young Bendigo funk band Groove Juice, Sherri Parry, Steph Bitter Music, Trevor Petrie Songwriter, Bridie Lynas Music, Maddie O’Connor, Loui Froia, Molly Crimmins, Liam Thorpe and Bradley Woodward!
An entry fee of $10 (under 12s are free) will help to give struggling refugees a start in life since fleeing their homes and lives due to war, conflict and disaster. There will also be a silent auction full of great products up for grabs, all generously donated by the local community for an incredible cause.
In the wait between now and this amazing afternoon of live music, why not make a donation to help these refugees? Any amount of money, however great or small, will make an incredible impact.
