Brisbane: Bring them home to Biloela

8 September 2018 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Brisbane, Biloela needs your help

Six months ago, Border Force come to Biloela and snatched Priya, Nades and their two QLD-born daughters, Kopika and Tharunicaa, from their home.

We’ve held vigils in our local Lions Park. We’ve raised money for legal costs. We’ve hand delivered a 120,000 signature petition to Mr Dutton’s office. We even went on Q&A and convinced a Liberal Senator to take up our cause.

But Mr Dutton isn’t listening. And last week, we found out who he has been listening to: mates and political donors.

This Saturday, we’re coming to Brisbane. Please join us as we bring our message to the people who will decide Mr Dutton’s future – the voters in his Brisbane electorate.

We will meet next to the Pine Rivers Information Centre, Pine Rivers Park, cnr Gympie Road and Kremzow Road, Strathpine at 9.30am, before walking 500m to Mr Dutton’s electoral office on Gympie Road.

We’ll finish by 10.30am so that we can travel to the city in time to join another positive, family-friendly event: bit.ly/2wFvnpM

We’ll bring cardboard cockatoos (the symbol of our town), giant photographs of Priya, Nades, Kopika and Tharunicaa and our very own “Welcome to Biloela” sign.

Like the vigil we held in the Biloela Lions Park after Priya and Nades were first taken from us, this will be a peaceful, inclusive, family-friendly event. In the spirit of Biloela, we ask all who attend to show respect and care to others, whether they agree with us or not.
