Bundoora (Melb): Footy & Film Fun Day

24 February 2019 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

This February, come and join us for a Sunday of film, food and football.

The new Australian comedy, The Merger’, explores the unifying power of sport. In a country town where work is scarce and the local football club risks being closed down, the football coach tries to save the club by recruiting recently settled refugees.

This film will be followed by a barbeque lunch and the chance to get actively involved in footy – connect with community and join in the fun of Traditional Aboriginal Games.

We will also be screening a short film ‘Front and Centre: achieving gender equality on and off the field’. The story is told through the Darebin Women’s Sports Club, a club who experience the gender based challenges faced by women in sport.

Special guests on the day include Spark Health, 3KnD community radio station and a local footy star!

All welcome!

FREE. Please register as places are limited. Please let us know if you have any access requirements.

Welcome to Country, film screening & special guest Q&A: 10.30am to 1pm
