Castlecrag: A Refugee Talk

11 October 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

A Refugee Talk on Oct 11th

Hosted by Conservation Castlecrag Society and People Just Like Us
Changing hearts to change minds! We are delighted to invite you to hear the personal stories and journeys of people who have sought asylum in Australia. The event will also feature three short films; it will be a one-off variety evening centring around the experiences of refugees.
This event serves as a call for unity and for positive action, as well as to change Australians’ perspectives and attitudes toward people coming by boat to seek asylum. We encourage everyone to welcome them and to acknowledge the skills and energy they bring to this country.
Refreshments will be provided after the Talks. This is an opportunity to keep the discussion going with the panelists and other audience members.
Everyone is welcome. Free event. Donations at the door. Booking ESSENTIAL
