Film: No Fire Zone + Q&A

11 May 2015 @ 6:00 pm

No Fire Zone

The exclusive screening of the updated “No Fire Zone” features a documentary by Channel 4, exposing some of the most gruesome war crimes and atrocities of the 21st Century.

Carefully evidenced and powerfully measured, ‘No Fire Zone’ (released in 2013) is a feature length film about the final months of the 26 year long Sri Lankan civil war told by the people who lived through it. It’s a meticulous and chilling expose of some of the worst war crimes and crimes against humanity told through the extraordinary personal stories of a small group of characters – but also through some of the most dramatic and disturbing video evidence ever recorded.

‘No Fire Zone’ also highlights the current brutal repression and ethnic cleansing of the Tamil’s in the North and East of Sri Lanka, with the continued disappearance of journalists and government critics. That’s why we hope this film will not just be the definitive film record about these terrible events, but it will also serve as an international call for action.
