Geelong Regional Libraries is holding an important Open Mind Lecture on 1 October, titled ‘Refugee Rights and Policy Wrong’, presented by Fiona Chong, lawyer and recent Human Rights Fellow in the Master of Laws program at Columbia University.

This special presentation will focus on one of the most pressing issues facing the world today – finding safe and durable solutions for refugees and other forced migrants globally. Fiona and Jane McAdam are the authors of ‘Refugee Rights and Policy Wrongs: A frank, up-to-date guide by experts’ and ‘Refugees: Why seeking asylum is legal and Australia’s policies are not’.
