Kon Karapanagiotidis – CEO ASRC
Getting on the #RightTrack means creating a process that fairly assesses people’s cases for asylum, which allows people to live in peace and dignity in our community rather than detention, and offers permanent protection to refugees.
Hear from our CEO, Kon Karapanagiotidis, and refugee rights advocate, Farzana Shariffie, on how to get our community on the #RightTrack in 2017.
Kon will introduce ASRC Community Action Workshops, running in Victoria, Brisbane and Sydney throughout 2017. These workshops will share tools, strategies and actions to achieve a sustainable shift in community attitudes and help create more welcoming and harmonious communities.
Farzana will offer her insights into the importance of empowering voices of lived experience to shift the way our community responds to people who want to rebuild their lives in peace.
Author and activist, Mariam Issa, will MC the evening.
Join with us as we work together to create a shared future with people seeking asylum that is guided by fairness, dignity and decency.
Places are limited so register now and be part of Getting on the #RightTrack!
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
