11 July 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Protest against the Border Force Act called by allied health and community workers:
10am This Saturday July 11, Parliament House, Bourke St Melbourne

Allied Health and Community Workers Against the BORDER FORCE ACT

15-07-11 Allied Health

Inspired by last Saturday’s protest by over 100 Victorian doctors, we invite other health professionals and the community to stand united again st the Federal Government’s Border Force Act on the steps of Victorian Parliament.

Our message: we oppose this Act, we support those who have and will speak out against abuse in Australia’s detention centres, and we will uphold our professional ethics and practice standards over the Border Force Act.

Social work, teaching, nursing, medical students, past and current practitioners, youth and community workers, psychologists, and any supporters of our message are invited to attend.

Bring your banners. Bring your passion. Bring the media. Bring a friend. Let’s send Canberra a message – Not In Our Australia!

MASKING TAPE or BLACK PAINT ACROSS YOUR MOUTH….silence speaks a thousand words….

Supported by AASW Australian Association of Social Workers
