Newcastle – Launch Refugee Week

A discussion and shared meal with refugees and our wider community, exploring the experience of refugees settling in Newcastle and the practical ways that we, as a community, can assist them.

We will have
· local refugees speaking about their experience in arriving and settling in Newcastle, and the support that they received
· individuals and organisations who have supported refugees in our community -discussing what this involved
· Q&A discussion with the audience
· a simple meal to share for lunch

Everyone is welcome – particularly individuals and groups who are interested in supporting or sponsoring refugees.
