Geelong: Film: Chasing Asylum

Wednesday June 22nd (Refugee week).

SCRAR is organising a screening of the new documentary film Chasing Asylum.

The film features new footage of the conditions on

Nauru and Manus Island and testimonies from whistle blowers.

There will be a screening of “the film the Australian Government doesn’t want you to see”, Chasing Asylum,  at the Village Cinemas, Geelong on Wednesday the 22nd of June form 6.30 to 8.00pm.

This is a combined initiative of the refugee action groups of the Surf Coast.

The aim is to have so many tickets sold that the bigger theatre is required.  All proceeds will go to the Seeking Refuge Project, in support of local asylum seekers applying for Temporary Protection Visas.
