In 2016 Uki Refugee Project and Support Association for Women in Afghanistan: SAWA – Australia held a Friendship Weekend. A bush dance was held in the Uki Hall with Playing Possum Bush Band. It was a great success, drawing many folk from the community who enjoyed a shared meal and a strenuous evening of dancing.
