|Like an old-style telethon, we are going to be broadcasting live from the CRLC on Monday 25th of November (note change of date). We would love you to be there, and to share the joy of refugee-led education with your friends and family.
We are raising money to support a year’s expenses at the CRLC, as well as supporting the rent and expenses of two other schools in Cisarua and Meena’s Karate group. That’s education for over 700 students!
Starting at 12:30pm (Sydney Time), and running through till the evening, we are going to broadcasting on Facebook and Youtube Live.
Like our event page for all the latest updates – https://web.facebook.com/events/2561957767259080/
We hope you can join us on the day and hear about some of the initiatives in Cisarua. You’ll meet the teachers and students and find out what they’ve been up to, we’ll also have interviews with some of our friends around the world.
Muzafar will be travelling (thanks to the Refugee Council of Australia) to the Inaugural Global Refugee Forum in December. He will be asking the same question he asked 6 years ago while living as a refugee in Cisarua, ‘How can the refugees help the UNHCR in the current refugee crisis?’. Now, and thanks to your friendship and support, we have a refugee-led education revolution in Indonesia and can show them what is possible!
Tahira will explain how she managed to get Canadian Sponsorship for our manager Khalil, and how he’ll be leaving for a new life on Wednesday!!!
Please share our LIVE EVENT and tune in on the day. There’ll be singing, dancing and music performances. You’ll get to see, hear and experience what makes the refugee-led education in Indonesia so special.
If you can, please donate to our fundraiser at https://chuffed.org/project/supportrefugeeeducation.
Thank you so so much
Jolyon, Muzafar and Tahira, and everyone in Cisarua.
