The Refugee Journey is a complex story. This one day workshop is suitable for all community members working with refugees who wish to better understand the complex nature of their story as well as the profound trauma.
Reflect on how to offer support to the families they are working with whilst also caring for themselves. Indeed how do we respond to people who have experienced such profound trauma in a way which meaningfully supports them and enables the ongoing healing of the whole person – heart, mind & body?
When supporting our families who have experienced trauma it is essential that we are able to “hold space” for them in a way which allows them to feel safe and encourages the unfolding of shared meaning within that safe
and trusted environment.
