Yass: Public Meeting

Yass Asylum Seeker Supporters – YASS

We’ve been approached by the Canberra Refugee Action Committee to work in closer cooperation with them, to assist more of a regional coordinated approach. They’re also talking to other groups around Canberra (Queanbeyan, south coast, Monaro, etc).

This sounds like a good move, and has given me a prompt to take this to the next level, and see if Y.A.S.S can become a fully-fledged group that meets regularly to coordinate local activities.

To facilitate this, I’m organising a public meeting on

• Thursday 18 February
• 6.30pm.
• Venue is TBC but will be in town.
• Guest speaker will be Associate Professor John Minns, from the CRAC Steering Committee.
