Research Project – Asylum Seekers and Refugees

I am a Psychology Masters Student at Swinburne University and am conducting research into Refugee and Asylum Seeker mental health. I would really appreciate your help in finding willing participants.

The aim of the research is to help mental health professionals gain a greater understanding of beliefs asylum seekers and refugees have about mental health and factors impacting these beliefs. Findings may assist in developing better access to mental health support services for asylum seekers and refugees.

Participants will complete a 15-20 minute anonymous questionnaire and must be:

*18 years +

*Either Asylum Seeker or Refugee

*Able to read basic English

*Able to access a phone/laptop/tablet to complete the questionnaire

What is needed?

I am requesting permission from your organisation to display the questionnaire link ( and project outline (as detailed in the Posted Notice – attached) that contain information about how participants may access the questionnaire. If your organisation would be happy to display the links for this project, either through your webpage, online Facebook page or offices, please could you confirm this by replying to this email.
