Palm Sunday Justice for Refugees action

PALM SUNDAY 2024: 24 MARCH. START PLANNING YOUR ACTION NOW!

Palm Sunday, 2nd April 2023, Rural Australians for Refugees took part in action across the country to call for justice for refugees.

RAR groups called for the government to grant permanent visas to ALL people seeking refuge and asylum in Australia, including those stuck in limbo in off shore detention in Nauru and Manus Island.

Action took place in Alexandra, Alstonville, Apollo Bay, Ararat, Armidale, Ballarat, Bendigo, Blue Mountains, Darwin, Griffith, Hobart, Maleny, Moss Vale, Newcastle, Townsville, Whyalla, Wollongong, and Wonthaggi. Groups organised marches, rallies, guests speakers and other action to raise awareness and rally support from rural communities.
